Innovative fresh pasta producer in the Washington, DC Metro area is looking for a production manager with 4-6 years experience with pasta production. Responsibilities will include scheduling production from orders received, coordinating production, packing, and shipping, overseeing equipment maintenance, supervising plant sanitation, and scheduling production employees.
Position requires a working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, experience following Standard Operating Procedures, fresh pasta production knowledge, good communication skills and management practices, and organizational abilities. A successful candidate will have 4-6 years of food manufacturing experience, with at least four years in production management and at least two years of fresh pasta production experience (flat pasta, filled tortellini, ravioli). Fluent Spanish will be helpful, as is mechanical ability. Ability to efficiently use a computer and standard office programs (word processing, spreadsheets) required.
Employer is an innovative manufacturer of fresh pasta that is poised to double sales this year, expand it`s product range, and extend it`s distribution. The production manager position is integral to the success of this expansion; employer is willing to do what it takes to get the right people in place. This position is in the the Silver Spring, Maryland area, a close suburb to Washington DC that enjoys excellent schools, good transportation, and a high quality of life, all just a short distance from the nation`s capitol. Salary will be between $50,000 and $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience; benefits include health insurance, relocation assistance, and free parking.
